(AP) — Chiefs coach Andy Reid is giving the rest of his staff about a week off after their Super Bowl victory parade through downtown Kansas City on Wednesday, then he expects everyone to be back in the building to begin working on next season. These are a crucial couple of months for Kansas City if it wants to become the first team to win three straight Super Bowl titles. “The coaches will take a little bit of time,” Reid said, “but then we've got the combine coming up. We're in the swing of things after that, once you get to the combine.”Yet before the combine, free agency or the draft comes the parade, one last celebration of another championship season. And during a meeting with his team Tuesday, Reid gave a parting message about the impending party.

NEW YORK, May 2 (Reuters) - The National Football League Players Association (NFLPA) has sounded the alarm about the use of sports betting apps, warning agents that the mobile gambling platforms can track their clients' activity, leading to stiff penalties. "We have confirmed that some states monitor/audit FanDuel and the other gambling apps to ensure that the companies are in compliance with state law," the NFLPA said in a memo on Monday seen by Reuters. It was as part of that monitoring that the NFL learned of the players using the apps at work in violation of NFL rules," it said. In March, Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Calvin Ridley was reinstated after serving one year of an indefinite suspension for violating NFL rules on gambling. "At no time should players open or use any mobile gambling app while at work."

March 6 (Reuters) - Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Calvin Ridley has been fully reinstated after serving one year of an indefinite suspension for violating the National Football League's gambling policy, the NFL said on Monday. The former first-round pick is eligible to participate in all team activities, effective immediately, the NFL said. Gambling is considered one of the most egregious offenses a player can commit in the NFL. The Jaguars said in a statement that they expect Ridley to participate in their off-season program in April. "We look forward to building a relationship with Calvin as both an individual and as a player," the team said.
